Pata Deals is a technology company. We build the tools that let local businesses, local economies and the communities around them get more out of the economy they are already part of.

What we are trying to do

Running a business costs more than it should, and most of that cost is paid to systems built for someone else's market: point-of-sale licences, delivery fleets, customer databases, loyalty programmes, credit that only a handful of businesses ever qualify for. We build the local version of all of it, and give it away free, so that cost stops standing between a business and its own growth.

The same platform works the other way for a shopper: better deals, real loyalty, and access to products and services that used to mean travelling to find them. Our objective is simple to state and hard to do: make it cheaper to run a business, make it possible for a shopper to get more for their money, and make it possible for everyone in the local economy, trader, rider, agent and shopper alike, to participate with the most capability available to them, for the least it has ever cost.

How the platform does it

Pata Deals connects manufacturers, brands and producers directly to the businesses and customers who buy from them, in the most efficient way that connection has ever been made in this market. A shop restocks from a wholesaler in the same app it sells from. A brand reaches shoppers in specific towns instead of guessing at national coverage. A customer buys from a shop that a brand's own sales team may never have reached on its own.

What that connection carries is technology that used to be expensive, or simply unavailable to a business of this size: a real point of sale, an own delivery fleet, a customer relationship system, a loyalty programme, and access to working capital earned from a business's own trading rather than a bank's paperwork. We built it once, on shared infrastructure, so that the cost of offering it to every business approaches zero, which is the only way it could ever be free.

Causes

Commerce on Pata Deals is connected to the communities it happens in. Selected deals and products support local causes, chosen and tracked in the app, so that ordinary buying and selling also builds something for the neighbourhood it happens in.

A small team

Pata Deals is built by a small team, and the company itself is young. What it is built on is not: the people behind it carry years of real experience in retail, logistics, technology and community work in this region, and that is where the platform's sense of what a business actually needs comes from. A young company can still have a rich heritage, when it is the heritage of its people.

We would rather ship the thing that removes a real cost from a real business than describe it at length, and that is reflected in how we work as much as in what we build.
